frock swap - n. 1. an evening of fun and   festivities  where women can trade or buy clothing and accessories in our own version of fashion week. (fashions reflect the tastes of women ages 13 to 30)

on the days leading up to the Frock Swap
Tuesday - July 12, Noon to 7:00 pm
Wednesday - July 13, 9:00 am to 2:00 pm
Thursday - July 14, 9:00 am to 7:00 pm

Receive Credits!
for each accepted article of clothing, handbag or shoes
up to 10 items
(see official  guidelines for details)

You will be given 1, 2, or 3 credits per item
Don't forget you can also pay your $10 entry fee at the drop-off

Come back to the Hemmens Cultural Center on
July 16, 2011 between 1 pm and 7 pm with a $10 entry fee you can trade your credits for clothes.

There will be food, beverages, live music, and a fashion show!

Why

The Frock Swap is a borrowed idea that we brought to our area in 2009. On July 16 2011, women of the community will gather together to trade clothes. In the process we will reduce the environmental impact of buying new apparel while simultaneously raising money for the Community Crisis Center.

All proceeds of this event are donated to the Community Crisis Center of Elgin. This is a cause we find to be of tremendous importance for our community. The Crisis Center is an inspiring and local institution that we want to see succeed.
